How to Make an Appointment

Please access our online software ‘Klinik Access’ available on our website at

Online booking via Patient Access has temporarily been suspended.

What types of appointments are available?

In April 2020, NHS England requested that practices move to ‘virtual by default’ services (telephone, video or text services). The aim is to reduce the chances of cross-contamination and to ensure safety of service users and staff.

Face to Face  This is no longer the default method of consulting and you will be invited at the discretion of the clinician. Some appointments such as immunisations, cervical screening and blood tests remain face to face.

Telephone All requests will be reviewed and a clinician will decide the urgency of the appointment.

Video All requests will be reviewed and a clinician will decide the urgency of the appointment in addition to whether a video consult is appropriate.

Text Sometimes it may be deemed appropriate to send SMS texts as a response (this includes the practice signposting you to alternative services where appropriate e.g. dentists)

When should I book my appointment?

Klinik Access is available 24/7.

In order to receive a reminder about a booked appointment, please ensure we have an up to date mobile and/ or email address. Please note that reminders will not be sent for appointments booked within 24 hours.
