Coronavirus – Shielding Letters (updated 5th June 2020)

The ‘shielding’ letters have been sent by the Government to the patients considered to be within ‘high risk categories.’ We understand that some of our patients may feel that they are within these categories and should have received a letter. At this moment in time, we are reviewing those within this category and as a result, further letters should be sent out in due course. Should your employer require evidence of isolation, it is still appropriate for you to obtain an isolation note via the NHS 111 online service. Alternatively, you may obtain a summary printout of your medical record via Reception and/or Patient Access. Please DO NOT contact the Practice for any update. We will provide you with one once we know more.

For more information, please visit ‘Guidance on shielding and protecting people defined on medical grounds as extremely vulnerable from Covid19.

The Government is due to review this on 15th June 2020. Please continue to follow their advice.
